Biography:
Hyuna had always been a tomboy. You could've blamed her brother had they not been younger than her, but she was always more interested in things that boys were 'supposed' to like rather than the things that were 'made' for little girls.

Dresses and frills were a bother, dolls she tired of quickly, and she would not call her day successful had she not a few grass stains on her jeans and mud on her kicks. It did annoy her mother that her only daughter was less interested in shopping with her, and more interested in playing baseball with the guys. However her brothers for the most part was thrilled that their older sister would be up for playing soccer with them when the time called for it.

Her father also loved it. He always wanted a son to teach the things a father should. How to change a flat, to play catch and talk sports with, and although he did eventually have sons, Hyuna was eager to learn these things, and was good at it all. It wasn't hard to see her father favored her out of all his children.

Her life was pretty much great until her parent began to have problems. It was Hyuna's job o shield her brothers from her parents martial issues. She was naive to think that they would sort out their issues before her brothers caught wind of what was actually going on, but things only got worse.

Her father was coming home later, her mother cried washing the dishes, and then word divorce, it shattered the world of the Kim children. Their father was leaving them, and going t live with his mistress. His promise was that he'd always be their father, but as the years went on visits and outings became phone calls and video chats and last checks and generic birthday cards. The word father meant nothing to he young girl anymore, not when the man couldn't even manage to see his kids.

Out of everyone it seemed that it hit Hyuna the hardest. She was so close with her father and to not have him be a presence in her life anymore was a hard pill to swallow. Her mother tried a variety of ways to pull her daughter out of what seemed like depression, finally putting her in therapy as a last resort (family therapy would've been a quick fix but her father was pretty much unreachable).

She thought it was useless as she felt like she was talking in circles, repeating the same things. She knew what the problem was, she needed her father, but he wasn't present anymore and didn't seem to want to be with hoe often he reached out to his kids. She gave up on him and she had been depressed for far too long to fix it like her mother wanted. Her therapist suggested she needed something to occupy her brain.

Her stumble upon bot wars was by coincidence. It was in the suggested videos on her youtube, and she clicked on it because of curiosity, and that brought her to more videos, and more information, and she got articles about what they were doing in Japan with artificial intelligence and she became obsessed.

She began to tinker with her own electronics, of course breaking and making almost everything she tried to create unfixable at first, but she learned more, from making the rice cooker more efficient to making her brothers like toy robots out of legos and some parts of an alarm clock. She loved what she was doing, and yes her mother still wished she could do something like maybe become interested in fashion, but this was something she fell in love with.

When college came around, she had a variety of choices, and no Yonsei was not her first choice school, but an essay contest got her a scholarship grant for partial tuition, so she said yes to them, despite getting accepted to her first choice as well. She didn't hate Yonsei, she just knew that at the other school being a robotics major was actually a thing. She decided engineering was close enough.

Then there was the Greek system. She had never had sisters of her own and yes, she was only curious, before she got completely wrapped up in rushing. She was probably crazy for thinking the torture that some girls had to endure was entertaining, which probably was also how she ended up becoming a proud member of Sigma Kappa.

Spark Notes:
- She is always working on building something, most times it's mechanical, but she'll wotk on other things too, like models of whatever she can get her hands on... Trying to figure out how to make it mechanical.

- She thinks AI is Speilberg's worst movie, I.ROBOT is an amazing book, and Big Hero 6 is a masterpiece. She had a toy WALL-E, BB8 and R2D2. Asking her what her favorite anime series is impossible, but in general and she'll say Metropolis.

- She loves tattoos and only has three at the moment. Her most important is the tribute to her mother on her back.

- She was involved in dance and gymnastics through her life by request of her mother, but she keeps up with it because it keeps her fit.

- Ok, so feminem modesty isn't something she remembers to have most times, but she does her best not to be half naked making a bowl of cereal in the morning.

- Speaking of cereal, no she doesn't cook. She might be able to, but she doesn't.
